I paint en plein air to better understand the Florida landscape and I paint still life to build my skills as an oil painter. Working in oils, I use these field studies to capture the light and movement of the natural world as I see it. I view each canvas as a simple window: a way to pause and look more closely at the native ecosystems around us.My practice is a creative extension of my career in conservation. Each painting is a sincere study of the land, the sea, the sky. 🎶
